Alexis Edelstein, Founder/CEO of Berniecrats of California, served as a Bernie Sanders Delegate from California during the 2016 DNC. He was also a "super volunteer" and media surrogate for the Sanders Campaign. He was recently elected as an ADEM Delegate in Assembly District 62.
He holds an MBA in International Business and has over 20 years of business experience with leading companies like P&G, Wrigley, and Red Bull.
Alexis is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and has lived throughout the USA and Europe. He completed high school in the California Bay Area before going to Arizona State University for his BS in Marketing with a Certificate in International Business. His MBA in International Business is from Thunderbird International Management School and he holds a certificate in Hispanic Marketing from Florida State University.
An avid soccer fan, he is also a founding member of the River Plate Filial of Los Angeles, a charity that helps children in need on the border towns of Tijuana.
Earlier in his life, he played semi-pro rugby for teams in Arizona, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, and Buenos Aires.
Born and raised in New York City, Alix has lived in Los Angeles for the last 20 years, 12 of them in Venice. Alix graduated from Vassar and headed west to work in the entertainment industry as an agent. A first generation American, she has traveled extensively, and credits her travels with giving her a broader world perspective.
She is actively involved with the Venice community. In her downtime, she is an avid surfer and can likely be found either at her home break the Venice Pier or somewhere along the California coast.
Over the years Alix and her husband Guy have opened their house and their hearts to those less fortunate, sharing their roof and breaking bread with friends and strangers who have fallen on hard times.
